-The first time I heard about drumming, I didn’t think it would be fun. But when we started drumming it was so fun! We even played “We Will Rock You”. Now I love drumming. Miss Corey is a very good drum teacher. Thank you to Miss Corey for taking the time to teach us. I learned a lot from her. Thank you!
-I loved the drumming. It was so much fun. I loved getting to use the drums from Africa! Miss Corey taught us the beat that we played in the show. It was really fun. I learned some pretty cool things about Africa. “Power of the Drum” was my favorite song. The drumming was really cool, and I hope I can do it again. Thank you,
-Drumming with Miss Corey was really really fun! When I was drumming, I felt amazing, free and happy. I loved coming to school and knowing I’m going to have a great day drumming. I loved our song we performed in front of the school. We sang, drummed and danced to “Take Time in Life”. I think I’ll keep drumming every day on anything at home like a table, book, book case or something hard. I love drumming now. It’s really fun! I will remember drumming with Miss Corey. That’s my drumming experience.
-Drumming with Miss Corey was fun and exciting. We learned how to do different drumming patterns. One of the patterns was a “gun do go do go”. We had to sing while playing the drums. Miss Corey played games with us and they were fun. Miss Corey had a lot of drumming teachers that taught her, and Miss Corey taught us what she had learned.
-The first step on the gym floor meant one second less ‘till the big performance. All the people were cheering us on, waiting for the drummers to start their big show. Now, after three other classes played their pieces in the show, it was our turn to do our part. When our class was at our drums the pressure came upon me. But when our drumming teacher, Miss Corey started us on the melody, I totally got lost in the music.
After our huge performance, the whole crowd cheered. I was so surprised on how loud the crowd cheered. I will never forget Miss Corey! Thank you to Miss Corey for being very nice and teaching us. I will miss you very much.
