SOLARFEST - This Sunday, April 27th!
"Sunday, 4/27: REJOICE! Come have fun, groove to cool music, and learn about environmental issues at SolarFest!

11:00 AM - Sundown, Boulder Field, UNH Durham, NH campus"

Hey Drummers!  Dust off those drums!
Come and drum and hang out and listen to the bands, etc.   
"Community Drum Circle" facilitated by Julie Corey, from 2:40pm-3:30pm, as well as
 I'll be vending drums there throughout the day with several other vendors.
(we may also be able to drum at other times throughout the day.....)

Bring a chair to sit on if you have one, for the drum circle.   

DIRECTIONS TO SOLARFEST
The event will be on Boulder Field which is next to the tennis courts & football stadium
on Main Street in Durham, NH

Coming from the west, Boulder Field will be on your right entering Durham, directly after the "Welcome to UNH" sign;
from the east, Boulder Field will be on your left after leaving main campus and passing the Field House and tennis courts.  




UPCOMING BODHRAN CLASS,  MAY 18
We are delighted to announce that we will be hosting guest teacher, Margaret Williams of
Portland, ME at our studio in Hooksett, NH for a wonderful workshop on "How to play the Irish/Scottish
drum, the Bodhran."   Margaret will also be sharing the history of the Bodhran, and stories of the music
from her 12 years  of living in Cape Breton!
Class held on Sunday, May 18th from 11am-2pm.  Cost is $45 per person.

TV PROGRAM ABOUT DRUMMING WITH JULIE COREY
I recently participated in a taping of a TV show for "Norm's Psychic World" on MCAM (Manchester Community Access TV) on drumming.  It was really fun to do, and I think it came out pretty well.  
I introduced and discussed a variety of different drums and their uses.

DRUM CIRCLE FACILITATOR'S CONFERENCE IN S. CAROLINA
 In February, I attended the "Drum Circle Facilitator's Conference" in S. Carolina.  
It was a great experience to meet up with DCFC's from across the globe
who are as nutty about drum and community drum facilitation as me!
